SO in 2008 I was working for Anheuser-Busch Inc. which was purchased by Inbev. In the buyout my retirement and investments was cashed out (as I took the buyout option). Considering I was 29 at the time I only had saved up 42k ...which a few thousand I paid off some bills and invested 36k in stocks, much against nearly everyone I talked to. (given the time ... December of 2008, just after LB and others failed..)
A snapshot of my portfolio today... 1 bad bet on GM, which I lost 10k on ... however, Motorola, Ford and AB/Inbev were great bets! ...to the point the % increase on Motorola hit 1337% yesterday!
