hey, im using a friends computer at the moment and usually im just using mac where i have never ever experienced problems but i can remember back when i was still using windows i had programs like malwarebytes and antvir installed.

could you recommend any reasonable antivirus malware or protection in general for mac/windows/linux?

i have actually no idea and am happy about every input since when i google anti virus program windows i get the top 10 things that try to sell me things like kaspersky which i really dont trust.

please let me know obviously asking because i want to protect btc trading on my windows pc now.

Kaspersky, Checkpoint (ZoneAlarm), Symantec (Norton) and Malwarebytes are at the forefront of computer, mobile and IoT security research as companies.
This doesn't necessarily mean they make the best products. (though av-test says Kaspersky is the best)
Malwarebytes wasn't an antivirus until recently, which is why it's not included in the above tests. I'm pretty sure it's on par with the best antiviruses.
Mac & Linux generally don't need any virus protection.

I think opensource software or os doesn't need anti virus or anti malwares softwares because linux viruses is small in counts unlike windows thats too common to have such a virus because its very rampant everywhere.

Because they don't have as many viruses generally, as they are much less popular than Windows. Linux is even more secure than Mac OS because it is open source. All hackers use Linux and many of them contribute to its security because they love it. Also Windows is much easier to compromise because security isn't Microsoft's #1 priority. They focus on features, performance and other stuff. Whereas Linux technically focuses on everything and really well with all the flavors (distros) it has.

For Mac I believe no antivirus is necessary but I will recommend Windows Defender or Microsoft Security Essential for Windows

Those who develop malware are able to bypass antivirus programs. Even if you use an antivirus program in a Windows environment, you will always be exposed to threats.
My advice is to use one of the linux distributions. I would recommend ubuntu or linux mint for someone who is new to it. Especially linux mint distribution is a system that people who are accustomed to using windows can easily use

ok makes sense. im just sad that all the essential programs for music (reason/ableton/serato) dont work for linux thats why i've never really used it..

i feel like all companies who are selling antivisu programs create viruses aswell. i have no idea actually but it seems like some sort of open source anti virus program would be something i would look into if not i would keep with microsoft defender and security essentials..

You can find an alternative to linux for most software you use in a Windows environment. alternativeto.net will help.
There is no need to use an antivirus program in a Linux environment. If you need any software, you can download it for free from the linux distribution's repository. If the software you are looking for is not found in the repository, you can type it in the command line and install it with a few lines of code.
I also recommend taking a look at ubuntustudio.org distribution for audio, video and graphic enthusiasts.

Malware is developed specifically for the operating system. A malware that infects the Windows operating system only works on that system.
When you install a different operating system, this system is not affected by windows viruses.

Computer protection is not easy task, if you use Windows - you can get either viruses or malware, but if you use Linux, you can get viruses too. So the right chice would be install something very rare, which you can use without problems, for example, Free BSD operational system here is the link - https://www.freebsd.org/. You can't get viruses on Linux because all software is downloaded from safe repositories. The only way to get a virus is by downloading from a malicious source, which won't happen because everyone targets Windows.
FreeBSD is not rare, it's used in many servers and is just as vulnerable.

thanks for all the answers i actually forgot that i wrote this because initially answers came in very slowly but thank you so much for the insights so far!

im looking to create a save environment for at least trading coins, login to bank account stuff like that. i never had problems on my mac and im pretty confident they keep my stuff safe but i feel like, if anyone, they them selfs are spying on me haha.

id love to have a more secure plan for internet security for trading coins and login to bank and everything. even maybe if its a little paranoid but i feel like i should do it.
