You post a topic in the Scam Accusations board to alert everybody so people don't fall for that particular scam again, then you lay on the floor in fetal position and feel sorry for yourself.

There is a sticky on the Scam accusation section , you should follow the proper format and post your thread. I must tell you though, administration won't do anything (not even banning the guy) but DefaultTrust members will leave him negative trust and that should be more then enough.

If the transaction involved PayPal or other reversible payment methods (you sending it) then you could try and open a dispute but If it was BTC then there is no chance of getting your money back.

Before sending someone bitcoins, at least look at their trust summary: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=954297
Check both trusted feedback and untrusted feedback.

Nobody cant help you if you are scammed because transaction was in bitcoin but if you were maybe using paypal then i think that maybe you can ask for refund but also there is smal chance to get money back.

Well I guess you can see that you shouldn't be attempting to trade with newbies on the forum without any sort of escrow, I would go ahead and post that Scam Accusation ASAP to make sure that no one else gets scammed from him if he's attempting to go on a spree or something along those lines.

Plus, .038 isn't a small amount of money to some people in 3rd world countries so that person may have had the heist of his life. Don't cry though bud, you seem to have handled it well.

You post a topic in the Scam Accusations board to alert everybody so people don't fall for that particular scam again, then you lay on the floor in fetal position and feel sorry for yourself.

Fetal position actually magically makes the bitcoin respawn in your wallet so try this Cheesy

Sorry for your loss, but we can't help you. I know that you can feel angry or sad after being scammed, but I think mostly of us have experienced something similar. Only thing you can do is create scam accusation to warn people about scammer. And accept it as a lesson for the future.

Still, be very carefull when trading on forums.
3rd party often is needed to secure transaction for both sides.

Good luck in future trades and remember bitcoin is not reversible.

I hope that will serve as a lesson, don't do ever trade or have a deal with any newbie, and before you made any transaction make sure you already see his/her trust feedback. And besides this is not proper board of this thread.

Based on the number of untrusted scam accusations, I tagged this account for you.

However, I expect him/her to simply not log on again and move to the next account.  Always do research (or use escrow).

You should always check their profile, and the "untrusted feedback" once you see any suspicious comment to it dont deal with him or if its blank just get an escrow there is always a free one here and there is bitify which is free aswell. Anyways sorry for your loss op hope karma get him back

Sorry op! The only way to safeguard yourself from scammers in bitcoin transactions is by using and escrow outside this your transactions are not safe at all. To help others from this scammer please make a report on scam section on this forum. Bitcoin transactions cannot be revise by any authority except the owner of the wallet you transfer the money to.

It is better to check profile informations from a person with which you are dealing because there are many scammers which is really easy to regocnize on internet only by viewing feedback.
