There is no way one hundred percent protection, but you can use
- custom faucet script or faucetinbox script
- a good micro-wallet service provide
- CloudFlare is good
- NameCheap is very good service for BTC

It's profitable having faucets?Yes and No, before you make a Faucet you need to save some money for your faucets, and after you get a balanced income for your faucets and for you it will be profitable!
