Those who have tradedinhitbtc  is it 100% secure? Cant make my btc and eth withdrawal since last night, and ive tried down they say no withdrawal as of time because of technical problems. My very first time to sell my coins to hitbtc , and my first withdrawal came at an unfortunate time.  Sad

I'm not a big trader. I used to trade on Poloniex often, with quite a high volume. HitBTC doesnt seem bad ATM. To be honest, I've only used them once, to dump my BCC/BCH. No withdrawal delays and no holds.

My experience was fine, not sure about other people.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

Maybe your balance is still in "trading account", you can transfer first to "main account" so you can withdraw. I just checked hitbtc and I see there is an technical maintenance for ETH so for ETH can not withdraw now.

That is probably the reason as they don't even give a message to transfer funds from trading account to main account for a newbie to understand his mistake. They just allow the withdrawal emails to be sent and then said insufficient balance.

@OP: The site is secure and they do process all withdrawals in time unless there are some technical difficulties. They had such issues with BTC withdrawals/deposits earlier but then in a day, everything was fine.

Just like the way the coins were secure in Mt. Gox when it was Top #1 Biggest exchange? Roll Eyes

One of the single most important concepts in CryptoCurrency... if you don't have sole possession of (and control over) the private keys... you don't have any coins. It's as simple as that. You put them on an exchange, you are literally trusting strangers with your money. Undecided

Would recommend for trading, not for storing. You don't need verification if you are just looking to trade from one form of crypto to another one. I've used it multiple times to trade around 0.2-0.3 BTC's worth of Eth. Took less than 30 minutes and could already see the transaction coming in for btc.

if you don't have sole possession of (and control over) the private keys... you don't have any coins.
This! Don't use exchanges to store your coins!

Do not be afraid of your coins on HITBTC , I also trade on HITBTC and it always takes about an hour until the funds are deposited to my account wallet . Maybe you have some additional transaction information (TxHash etc.) to show it to their support .

You should be cautious with any centralized exchange. I learned my lesson with Bittrex not too long ago during their account suspension debacle.

As for HitBTC, perhaps my case was atypical but my first and only experience with their support was quite bad. It took them 6 days to respond to a support request and the response might as well have come from a bot. Sure, 6 days isn't as bad as Liqui and Polo's almost non-existent support but it's bad nonetheless.
