This is the only forum I know that requires you to spam in order to allow you to post.

There is no requirement to spam.

For some reason spammy newbies seem to prefer to spam to reach their 5 post requirement.

There is no reason that Newbies can't participate in intelligent and useful discussion in the Newbie sub-forum to reach their 5 post requirement.

Except, of course, for being impatient or unintelligent...

Just because one is new to this particular forum, under some particular name,  doesn't mean they are new to the BTCdom or the technology to mine it....  Wink

Nothing is what it seems!

You can send a PM after your first post.  You can create threads here in the Newbie sub-forum immediately.  If you are missing out on a group buy, it is because you failed to make a reasonable effort, not because of the newbie restrictions.

Not a noob, yet labled a noob.  I found the posting restrictions for new registrations odd as well.
