Hi,

I need suggestions... I'm currently mining using an ASIC, but here's the problem. It needs:

• PSU
• UPS
  (Although it's cheap, electricity isn't consistent where I live)

These two things add to the total cost of it. Specially UPS. I then need to buy batteries and these are damn costly. I'm looking for a miner that won't require an uninterrupted power supply, even better no PSU or UPS. I'm not sure if that's even a possibility, but thought why shouldn't I ask?

What about USB miners? I think that's outdated, but I've read something about BitFury's usb asic, thoughts?

PSU --> Server PSU by IBM or HP with a breakout board and PCI-E cables. Bitmain APW3 is also a decent PSU.
UPS--> Eaton has good UPS solutions.

Please pay attention to your total costs for mining during the whole life time. The need for UPS may kill it for you.

USB miners just aren't worthwhile anymore even with Sidehack's new BF sticks that are about to come out. The UPS might be costly but it's worth it if you want to use a miner that will actually make anything.

Depending on what miner, it's possible to get a DPS-800 with a BB and 4 pcie cords for 30 bucks. Runs 1000w on 240v.
