Hello,

I've sent two two transactions from my MultiBit HD v0.4.1 wallet, about week ago. Both of them are still in 'Sending' status. I've tried repairing wallet 'Manage wallet > Repair wallet' few times, but it didn't help.

First transaction was about 3mB, second was about 15mB.

Is is possible that 44 satoshi/byte is not enough to be processed?

Second thing I've noticed - after sending the second tx all my wallet balanced is now 'Unconfirmed' Sad Is anyone familiar with this problem?

Thanks,
m

It is well under the recommended, i.e. it will likely never confirm. Recommended is 220 satoshis/byte; see here: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

That's how Bitcoin works. Your balance is unconfirmed until the relevant transactions are included into a block.

What you should do:
1) Attempt to accelerate the first transaction (only this one) with ViaBTC once there is room: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
2) Once that has confirmed; accelerate the second TX.
3) Fix your fee-rate settings so that this never happens again.

Thank you, Lauda. Is is possible that transactions will go back to my wallet? (will be dropped from the mempool)

It was first time I was sending BTC, I was not aware of the fee rate. I guess MultiBit HD is not very newbie friendly here.

Yes in the worst case the transaction will never confirm and be dropped from the mempool. Don't worry though, it will not be lost but back in your wallet.

Yes, as answered by the person above me.

Optimally you'd use a wallet with Coin-control and you'd manually set your fee-rate. You can do that in Bitcoin Core, but that required downloading and verifying the whole blockchain. You can try Electrum if you want an SPV wallet.
