VegasCasino.io was hosting pirated Novomatic games, which now seems to be removed. Casino holds no license so theres no protection for players in case of dispute. Also obviously there was no 3rd party audit of their games and who knows what the actual RTP is, or if RNG is even random.

It is a good thing that AFAIK VegasCasino.io is not really popular among users of bitcointalk,
(and I assume so by seeing lack of discussion going on about this gambling service).
They never bothered to promote themselves here, nor they have official thread or rep on our forum.

Gambling licenses issued by Panama or Curacao are basically worthless anyway. These can't be considered "legitimate" jurisdictions.

The lack of gambling license isn't something that deters me, enough popular Bitcoin casinos do not have a license.
But it should be provably fair if that's the case, so I wouldn't recommend gambling on this one either.

That's not fair. The site can be as provably fair as possible but what if they use shady ways to take money out of their players ? Provably fair is just 0.5% of the requirement and not everything. Also Vegascasino.io along with bitcasino.io are controlled and run by same agency that owns sports bet,if you look at all these sites closely and the way they operate, you would know how they delusion people into placing bets there.I still get mails from vegascasino like ever other day about how I need to take my bonus of 100mbtc before it expires lol

I warn against the Sportsbet scam and Bitcasino scam and vegascasino.io group since the launch of sportsbet last summer.

Their strategy is too good to be true promotions, leaderboard prizes, money back, etc.. I just wait for the day they will pay you for playing, after you deposit amount xyx!

The Curacao eGaming license does not control anything, but they at least check the identity of the operator. So you know who scammed you and could initiate legal action!

Hence, the key point is to know who scammed you and not if they are "licensed". Curacao eGaming claims to supervise its licensees, but this is obviously a blatant lie!

but it should deter you as you literally have no protection against them in case of dispute. Gambling licenses weak as they might be ( some more some less ) still give you some safety.

Those joints that have no money ( or dont bother to spent ) for a license should not be trusted. Especially knowing there is no audit

Maybe this is the main reason why they choose these licenses from these countries in the first place.
Because they know they can not be audited so they just garner as much money as they want and not have to report the actual amounts to anyone.
Especially to the government which would more than likely want more or less most of that in some sort of tax after seeing they are making more than their own countries GDP. Which the government always has laws in place anywhere in the world where they do not like a company within their boundaries to be making more than they are and not have be paying any taxes to them for using their property and electricity to operate within their jurisdiction.

I wanted to defend VegasCasino as a regular player there who have had a good pleasant stay and play there. However based on no response from the operator of VegasCasino in this thread looks not good for that casino. There is no lack of discussion as you can see 2-3 threads with lots of pages regarding VegasCasino.

Thanks for revealing them to us guys before we could fall victim to them. There are load of online casinos and gambling websites springing up with no legal basis and these are all in for a cut from the Bitcoin community so I will urge all to be alert careful.

Please decribe the "some safety" licenses give to us players?

The only "safety" (I am aware of) licenses give is that the identity of the owner / operator of the site is known. So you could at least initiate legal action.

But based on my experience, almost no victim has interest to spend money and try to enforce his claim! Even if they could do this cost free, there is almost no interest!

So the only sense of a license is:

1) Mislead the existing and potential customers that the site would be supervised and it is safe (like you already misleaded the community with your statement).

2) Gives the site a legal frame for the Fiat money processors.

3) Possibility to operate almost tax free.

4) Make it more costly for victims to claim their money with the several jurisdictions involved.

Well it really depends on the type of license and where its coming from. Say if its a Costa Rican Casino then all players should run for their lives, as there is literarly no protection. Curacao license is also not the greatest and dont mean much, even though there are some really good casinos that are legit and do pay, with this license.

But if they hold Matla or UK license, or any of European licenses, then you can file in a complaint with those related regulatory bodies and there is some sort of protection.

I am not aware that Malta or the UKGC protect anything, please describe?

Especially the UKGC gave Win Cake Poker a license while already $100,000s were owed: https://game-protect.com/win-cake-poker/

When a victim asked for help, they said sorry this is not our case!
