Hey just trying to get things going. Im sick of seeing so much old hardware getting thrown in the trash. Even tho old miners may not be profitable they still have plenty of parts that can be recycled and used for other things. Our goal is to make random useful devices out of old hardware. Give us a look @ http://btc-recycle.weebly.com
Not really looking for much just think it would be interesting to see what all we can do with some old hardware.

Is good  people are looking towards environment and recycling old hardware mining equipment, I think I saw a poll online recently on this issue, there are two options, one recycle the equipment, and the other keep in your museum. I think I picked the second.

The idea is good, but the logistics will be a nightmare. Do you get any Tax breaks or tax credits or rebates in your country to make this financially viable? I am all for projects that would make a positive environmental difference, but how will you incentivize this kind of behavior to the consumers?

Good luck with the project, I will follow your progress. ^smile^

Your concept is good but i don't have idea about what can be made out of old mining hardware. Mining hardware manufacturer such as bitmain have to think about recycling their old hardware, because they may have idea on how to recycle those old hardwares.

Thanks for the feedback! And tax break wise I am looking into because if i can set it up so people are able to do some sort of write off then that would give them incentive. Oh we are located in the US by the way.

Thanks! Ya so far brainstorming ideas of what we can use them so for so far has been interesting. The structure of miners with heatsinks and fans is similar to LED grow lights so I made some out of an old s5 and old u3. You can see those on our project page. Just some basic ideas but definitely looking for more
