1 - If my computer crashes, and wont restart (its dead) how do i get back into my wallet from a different computer?

2 - I have "encrypted" my wallet, and set the password, however it still lets me log into it without any authentication at all. Is the password only needed to send money - as in anyone can view my wallet by clicking on it?

3 - After you mine coins, your pool pays you out after a certain amount. Would you reccomend to leave it in your wallet until you want to sell it?

4 - Can you "store" money on an exchange such as btc-e or mtgox until you choose to sell it? or is it only meant for current orders like a stock exchange?

4 - What is the most efficient way to convert cryptocoins into currency or a into paypal account?

5 - Has anyone every sold crypto coins in person? (AKA Craigslist) I think this would be funny. Meeting someone in person, handing over cash to a guy, who then opens up a laptop and sends you crypto currency.

if you only stored it on that computer I don't think it's possible to restore.  Please see this link: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Securing_your_wallet

I think it's public how much each bitcoin address (public key hash) has in general.  If somebody gets access to your wallet.dat they will be able to see all the bitcoin addresses in the wallet but not spend without the password to obtain the private key necessary to spend any bitcoins.

3 - After you mine coins, your pool pays you out after a certain amount. Would you reccomend to leave it in your wallet until you want to sell it?

Bitcoin wallet's are supposed to store coins (that is one of the goals of the system.)  It's recommended to secure your wallet using this method before accumulating coins from any source.

sell to peer that you know.  Otherwise mtgox.

See above.

1 - If my computer crashes, and wont restart (its dead) how do i get back into my wallet from a different computer?

You do keep multiple backups of valuable data stored in multiple locations, right?  It would be rather foolish not to.

2 - I have "encrypted" my wallet, and set the password, however it still lets me log into it without any authentication at all. Is the password only needed to send money - as in anyone can view my wallet by clicking on it?

Correct.  The password is only needed for actions that require the private key (sending bitcoins, signing messages, creating new addresses).  If you want to keep people from seeing what your addresses are, you'll need to do your own separate encryption.

3 - After you mine coins, your pool pays you out after a certain amount. Would you reccomend to leave it in your wallet until you want to sell it?

I'd recommend not selling it.  Hold on to it until you have something you want to spend it on, then spend it directly.  But you have to make your own decisions about risk tolerance and what your plans are for your bitcoin.  Other than leaving it in your wallet until you want to sell (or spend) it, what other option were you considering?  Where else would you store it?

4 - Can you "store" money on an exchange such as btc-e or mtgox until you choose to sell it? or is it only meant for current orders like a stock exchange?

You definitely can do this.  But be aware that several exchanges have been hacked in the past and those who had BTC on deposit there lost there bitcoins.  You need to decide for yourself if you're willing to risk the possibility that the exchange could steal your bitcoins, a hacker could steal your bitcoins, a government agency could confiscate the assets of the exchange, etc.

4 - What is the most efficient way to convert cryptocoins into currency or a into paypal account?

4 again??
Define "efficient"?  If you are looking to get the most local currency for each, then your best bet is probably https://localbitcoins.com
If you are looking for fastest payment, then you might want to look into http:/fastcash4bitcoins.
If you are looking for a fast transaction with lower fees, then you'll want to use one of the exchanges such as MtGox or CampBX.

5 - Has anyone every sold crypto coins in person? (AKA Craigslist) I think this would be funny. Meeting someone in person, handing over cash to a guy, who then opens up a laptop and sends you crypto currency.

I've done it several times.  I'm not sure why it would be "funny".  It's a great way to meet other people interested in bitcoins and to make an exchange where neither of you need to pay any fees.  As I said, take a look at https:/localbitcoins.com

1: Backup. Keep a copy of your wallet (just like all other important digitial information).

2: Spot on. Password only needed for sending.

3: Keeping in wallet seems like a good idea to me

4: Yes you can keep BTC in your account on the exchanges

5: Not me.
