USB 3.0 connected external PCIe bridge

Thoughts?  Would it be possible to add cards to the USB 3.0 bridge this way?  My thought was a power draw concern on the USB port itself, but I have very little experience with non-conventional PC builds.  Thinking of adding a few cards to my rig mounting the cards in a crate/box with plenty of air movement but not sure how this would work if at all.

Other than the technical/power issues all the places that sell this model are out of stock and require a special order from the vendor.  Some sites even said 14 week lead time...


Wanted to get input from more experienced hardware junkies before pursuing any further.

PCie*16 gives up to 75Watts of power, more the the uSB port I'm certrain.

It is extremely likely there is an AC adapter or some way to supply the extra 12v power.
