There are few things you should remember when creating paper wallet;

1. Don't create it online like in bitaddress.org, download their github and open it in browser of your old computer which you will never connect to internet again.

2. Now print that address with offline printer, don't make multiple copies if you are the only owner of that address. Put plastic lamination to protect it from water but to protect from other possible damages you can place it in your vault or in bank vault with insurance.

3. Delete your browser cache and also if possible completely format that old computer.

Now you will only have one copy of your paper wallet and there will be no any digital footprint of your wallet.

As long as the lamination don't ruin it, I guess it's supposed to be fine. Someone gave me a laminated bookmark before. She just printed stuff on regular paper and it's still readable to this day. Lucky you, you have enough bitcoin worth hoarding (me just using online wallet). I suppose a regular small safe would be enough for this. It'll definitely keep moisture out. The air inside might still be damp if you closed it during damp weather though that would probably not matter if you already laminated you wallet.

i was considering laminating my paper wallet but that would require me to go out to a "laminating shop" (i don't know what it is called in English) and ask them to do it and that already compromises me even though i can be 99% sure the person doing it won't have slightest idea what it is i have written on paper Smiley

you can encrypt it with a password and then do it though, but i didn't.
i just settled for simple writing down my seed (or it can be private key) on a paper! simple! and it has been 2 years and the paper is still fine.
i should add that is not my only back up, but it is my only physical backup.

ink getting damaged by the sun

don't leave your paper in the garden. Cheesy
Good job, I confuse why so many people being skeptical and paranoid, different with aware as precaution act and be careful.
Paper wallet should be safe as long as no one in your home remove it, put it save and it will be fine.
Laminate or sealing/coating it with resin are good enough, if you could make it by yourself is better than risk it to laminating shop.

Thanks for the answers everyone, I think I'm just going to use a laminating machine and a safe/lock box.
Going to lock the thread to prevent it from getting abused by spammers.
