Bitcoin as Main Currency

I was just curious but, what would you guys think if Bitcoin was the main currency of America. Would you like it and agree with it or would you agree with the current main currencie(s) we have.

It needs a lot of time to be this thing possible. Because we need to have a stable connection on every houses or must have to be an individual Credit Card or ATM Cards to use because Bitcoin only exists inside the internet. If this thing will happen, other currencies will fall as well. But as I can see, this will need a lot of time to make this happen.

You are right, because it should be all of the population can log in internet connexion To allowing using btc. Because without internet we can't use it. I don't see that bitcoin will be a main currency in the near future.If it will be, Maybe it will take a long time.

I disagree with you. Bitcoin doesn't have the basic characteristics to become a mainstream currency, so becoming the currency of USA is not possible and not feasible for bitcoin. USA dollar is backed up by federal reserve whereas bitcoin is not backed up by anyone, just generated from a computer program. So it lacks the basic eligibility criteria.

Let bitcoin be used by the unorganized sector only and not by the governments. Because if money hungry government starts using it, then the general bitcoin users will be doomed soon enough. Either they will be put behind the bars or their bitcoin holdings will be take away by the government. So let it be at the same place as it is now.

US Dollar and Bitcoin is different in some aspect. Because dollar or fiat is a tangible currency that you can hold and may change value by the rate of currency through out the world. Unlike bitcoin , bitcoin is a crypto-currency that can only be use by the used of a wallet. Its value also change but it always depends on the rate of the bitcoin support by the community. And if you are talking about that bitcoin becoming a main currency is impossible, that is reason is you are always comparing things that is not alike. Because bitcoin can be a currency through the net for a faster transaction than ever before. For me that is the best reason for bitcoin on becoming a main currency.

Yeah it surely serves as a alternate for the financial system, but it will never get termed as a main currency to get used replacing the entire list of currency that have grown high with big years of standing as a backing for it. It will continue to be the leader same as the present situation.

Yes, a very difficult move to make, a long process to take, but then, once the government take place and accept the bitcoin, there will be no worries at all. All we need to work out is to approve the bitcoin by each government.
