Topic says it all

BU is down to 34% from ~42% in the last couple of days.

Back up to 38.7%. Most likely BU support slowing down and not really rising in terms of hashrate. We all hope it'll be a failed fork or they won't gain any more but it could happen and Bitmain could start cranking up production and mining for themselves again.

it is still around 38% as it was before and as it will continue to be in the future.
and it goes up and down because it is not exactly showing support or amount of hashrate, it shows how many blocks have included a little "flag" saying the name of BU and as may know finding blocks is not a fixed thing it goes up and down.

thisspeculation board is a wrong board to post this anyways!

You guys need to look at the orange line to see the current hashrate from the last 144 blocks.

That's a good sign, BU should not be accepted, it's devastating bitcoin. However, this is a no-exit stalemate for bitcoin if it does not have a clear result and continues to maintain its current state. Too many people do not agree BU, most of them are ordinary people, in contrast, miners are the ones who want BU to form, in addition, the third branch of bitcoin at the present time is segwit, Which has failed once before. What will happen next while the bitcoin is plummeting rapidly?

Pretty much we have the same numbers every time I check block mining statistics BU is ~10% ahead of SegWit.
But what is even crazier for me is that group of miners supporting the 8 MB blocks knowing that this solutions is dead.
Recent bugs of BU, crashed nodes and temporarily closed source patches didn't help BU at all.

they will join the emergent consensus to have bigger blocks... perhaps the first >1mb block will be 1.2 mb (who knows)

After the status quo is shattered, consensus will emerge via a longest chain.
