Are there any wallets for USD Tether that store the private keys locally? I do not want to depend on tether.to

[since nobody has answered this in 2 days I am going to try, you may want to double check what I say because I don't use USDT myself.]

as far as I know, tether or USDT is based on bitcoin and that means everything related to private keys, transactions, etc are the same. which again means you can use the same bitcoin wallet to make the private keys and an address and transaction if you know the how tos but use the UTXO from tether blockchain and then somehow broadcast it on tether blockchain to the nodes.
technically this should work although it will have so many complications.
