i think it will be :

1. bitcoin
2. eth
3. xmr
4. etc
5. ltc

I would add Dash and doge to this and nothing else.  I have a strong feeling eth/etc is going to turn out to be a fluke.  Don't think they're good investment altcoins, but I'm pessimistic as it is.  

forgive me not to include Dash and doge on my list. i wrote that list because on that list of coins, i can make more bitcoin but not to much because i don't have big bitcoin in my wallet. by the way, now i see the movement of ethereum and xmr in poloniex markets, and it seem eth and xmr will gets up in rate.

Bitcoin is to expensive for normal earners like us.  Instead we want to enter cryptoworld in a lesser investment which we can afford.  That is why we seek on possible promising altcoin to invest in that has a potential to be like bitcoin someday. 

As for me I think one good coin to invest is Vcash, this coin is very cheap at  this  point with solid development.

you can invest small amount in bitcoin, there is someone telling you that you must buy 1 whole btc? no, but investing in bitcoin will not make you more coin if you don't trade i agree, with altcoin you can invest your bitcoin to earn more with the correct choice of altcoin, and btw vcash is an ancient relic better to focus on new altcoin
