Motherboard for 4x GPUs

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to source out a motherboard but need some clarification on a few items.

I want to run 4x 7950s.

Do all my PCIe sockets need to be x16 or can they run at a lower speed.

Any cheap recommendations. At first ill be having a hot GPU sandwich. I'm waiting for my PCIe Raisers to come in from overseas.
