Does the latest wallet version require at least 1 confirmation for the funds to show up in your wallet? Because I just receive a BTC tx and it's been broadcasted for 20 minutes now.

So if it is supposed to show as soon as it's broadcasted, that means I may have a problem....

Yes, it requires to have at least a single confirmation, prior to it being visible on your wallet.
