Hi,

Is there any site that can supply alot of miners?

I'm thinking of buy like 500x miners and place them in my house and buy a solar energy to get the power plugged with the miners

How much I can make from those? And it is good idea?

Need info, thanks!

That's a bold plan.  Would you be able to break it down a bit more for us?
Have you costed out the solar array?  It looks like you will have less than $80 per miner once you install that.

I have no idea on how to use that solar array tell me more info about it, thanks

Well I don't either but why don't you research it?

1) Decide on a miner
2) using its power consumption calculate your total power requirement
3) Locate a decent solar panel supplier
4) Based on their price, and the power production per panel, calculate the approximate cost of your required array
5) Hire someone to install the array (and since you have an idea of approximate cost, it will be more difficult for them to screw you)
6) If you seriously want tips about the solar array, contact Philipma1957

What about the https://shop.bitmain.com/gallery.htm?name=antminer_s9_asic_bitcoin_miner ANTMINER 9 ? I'm thinking of buying it
are you going to make mining farm there will be  lose for sure if you decide to buy alot
what about starting in newproject like faucet, app, website, etc
this amount will be good for many projects

 Well this is strange!

But above all, I am keen to know what you think in terms of hash rate / value for money?

Thanks in advance!

Sev

Hi Sev,
The best value in terms of hash rate for money is actually the R9 270 @ $179/ea.
I recently switched the recommended graphics card in my 6 GPU  mining rig build guide from the 7950 to this card, due to the unavailability of the 7950.
You can stick six of these cards on one $230 1300 watt PSU for 2,700 Kh/s, which makes it an efficient and inexpensive rig all around.

^^Above was the final post before a two year hiatus^^

This miningdude account had a two year hiatus from January 2014 until January 2016.  The writing style and more importantly the knowledge of mining is decidedly different.  Apparently, OP previously built and sold mining rigs and apparently has his own post about  and wrote a blog article about building rigs and now you ask question like you were born yesterday?!

Either this is a bought account or OP is playing us - either way, I'm out.

Something is defo not right with the OP.

1) The account is a bought one

2) He starts asking to buy fake I.D

3) He claims to have $40k now available to buy mining hardware

4) He then posts asking to exchange BTC to LTC

I dropped him a pm saying I could do a BTC to LTC swap if we used escrow expecting a fairly large transaction considering his $40k budget and he responds with the below :

Well i'm willing to buy little for now what is ur rate?

Rate depends on volume.

Let me know how much bitcoin you want to exchange and ill give you an LTC number for it.

Escrow still required even for a smaller amount

Well I never used LTC before
I'll buy 3 LTC 1:1 Rate

contact escrow and hmu.

3LTC for fuck sake, I would be embarrassed to pm an escrow about the deal so passed.  Does this sound like someone with $40k lying around ready to buy hardware.

OP is a scammer and its just a matter of time until some idiot gets scammed by him.

if your electricity allow it, your option are antminer s9, some asic miner for alternative crypto, like scrypt or x11 and or gpu rig for all the other alt

if you want to stick with btc, go for second hand antminer s9, cheaper than 2k and around $1500, you would buy 25+ of those

but maybe better wait for the new antmiers , i'm assuming that they are going to realease something later this year, the s9 is old already...

I think, you better use to buy bitcoin and hold for 1 year to the next. I'm sure you will benefit more than 100% because prices bitcoin always go up. If you use for mining, I'm sure it's been unprofitable.

If the electricity price is higher than $0.05, then it is better to buy the bitcoin directly and hold for long term.

Well it depends, but i would suggest you to mine with GPU instead of Asic miners and mining other coins instead of bitcoin.

Anyhow, the latest antminer s9 prove to have a very good hash power per watt and the ROI is good yet, difficulty on bitcoin mining is rising very fast so imo, going GPU mining for Ethereum or any other coin would be a better choice Smiley

For the time being, it is more profitable to mine altcoins such as the Ethereum.

Mining for altcoins are risky as well. We do not know if any strong miner for those coins will come up or not. Spending 40k on it would be horrible idea for him. I would suggest invest in buying bitcoin and holding for long term would be better.

+1 for this, I have sold off 3 farms of s9's as my money is better in buying and selling bitcoins right now, but is best if you're not relying in profit for you're next meal, as empty stomach makes for bad snap decisions, Remember there is no such thing as risk free!
Alt coin mining is only good if you can work out the best one to mine and dump it before it becomes worthless, very hard to do if you dont have the equipment yet as the market moves fast!

Right now you can make around 1500$/year with an Antminer S9 (14THS-1372watt) with the cost of electricity is about 0.10$/kWh.

And  one S9 costs 2100$.
I don't know if they make huge discounts to the mining farms but that 2.1k simply says that they don't want you home users to own any bitcoin miners. Something is very fucked up here.

Definitely not worth the trouble. Don't burn away your money. Those S9's will be worthless as soon as something better comes up. Let the farms form a cartel and have their war with bitcoin. Don't fuel that shit company with your money.

Buying and holding bitcoins is a more profitable way than mining. If you are going to spend that 40k$, just buy bitcoins. It is cheaper than mining.

It is good to have bitcoin mining and you have good amount of money to buy mining tools. But i suggest that you should mine altcoin for now but you can still get profit in bitcoin but not high. And much better to used solar energy for mining. Goodluck mate

Solar energy? How many solar panel is needed to feed 500x miners? 24/7

1kw of panel can only cover 1100kwh a year with the best sun conditions and correct direction, if by 500 miners you mean 500 s9

you have to cover a big ass 500 x 1.4kw(anminer s9 consumption), which is 700kwh x 24 x 365 = around 6M kwh

therefore you need 6000x 1kw of panel, not worth all the money needed
