saw it today in my local news... I was like waaaaat ?
thing is mass prod is awaited in about a couple of months ...but still SICKO !!!!
they do say it might have a vintage value even bigger in the following years being the first working prototype and such ..but fuck me ..90 000 $ Huh wow he could have bought a house...

Or it might be just a fake bid. I saw one once where they had a bid for a casing of an HD5970, no card just the plastic for a few grand. I think it went up to a million or maybe not.

Engineering Samples have additional collectible value but honestly... For such money I can only imagine Apple fan buying prerelease sample of best and latest device just weeks before they are launched in stores.

There already are custom-made dual HD7970 cards that cost orders of magnitude less and are basically the same or even better performance.
