Ok so today i went down to my office and as always I had a few spam faxes for cruise line tickets and some other junk.

I noticed that with faxes, I always at least look at them before I throw them out since some are important and I have to visually filter them first.
Even right now, when i close my eyes I can picture what was on the cover of most of the ones I threw out in the bin.

What I found on this site explains the effect I previously mentioned about briefly looking at something and yet still remembering it in some way:
"The adherents of the "theory" of the twenty-fifth frame argue that the additional frame shown less than 1/24 second, bypasses the mind, and directly affects the subconscious. That is, information contained in this frame is remembered by a person, but is not seen. Once it is saved in the memory, at some point it can be used by the brain.  " taken from http://english.pravda.ru/science/mysteries/17-12-2012/123198-twenty_fifth_frame_effect-0/
I know its not exactly same thing, however, I do remember it and I believe some of it is retained against my will.

I had a moment and then asked myself: why don't we as a Bitcoin community start sending out "Buy Bitcoins" faxes every 15th of the month to businesses and directories in our hometowns just like spammers do? Considering most faxes are actually looked at before discarding, as opposed to emails that get filtered by spam filters, faxes get read by actual business employees, people we would want to target in the first place.

I gave it some more thought and realized the 15th of each month is a perfect day since people tend to get paid on the 1st and 15th of the month in most cases. Thus, they would have more financial flexibility around those days.

(Now I am normally against spam in general, however, we need to spread the news to people who don't get to hear about it. I was considering putting up posters in the city and that can be done in the future with the same page if we design one here Smiley )

I believe if we put our minds together here and design a nice catchy 1-page with a large heading and basic introductory Bitcoin information, in time, more and more people will invest.

I remember in 2011 I learned about bitcoin because I was looking for anonymous vpn and found an article advising to use Bitcoin for such purchases which lead me to the Bitcoin community.
I have been mining ever since and buying and holding all the coins I could get my hands on Smiley

I would like to see if anyone wants to assist with this Fax page intro to Bitcoin that we can all fax across cities Smiley I am sure as we all start doing this, more news sources will cover it further, spreading bitcoin media and making us one step closer to an open source worldwide monetary system.

The concept around this is not to look at it as spamming but rather an open source news delivery system in a traditional paper form Smiley

 Any comments are welcome !

Cheers

I think it would be a good idea to include most recent price and a 6 months btc/usd eur, aud, jpy , gbp etc. depending on the country you are in. This way involuntarily people will begin to speculate and begin to understand the market Smiley

I imagine 0.0% of people receiving the faxes will look at it that way. To me, spamming will only sway people negatively rather than convincing anybody that Bitcoin is legitimate. The only people who will view it otherwise are people who already believe in Bitcoin. In my opinion, anyway.
