If the statement is official this is a positive news for the cryptocurrency network. PBOC is the biggest banking network of China which has got the ability to make any form of economic changes.

Earlier it was the one that conducted the inspection and found out more exchanges giving fake volumes to increase trading. This inspection led to regulations, following the same happened a big market crash. Now the same PBOC developing new digital currency will be looked positively by the public.
