I am new to bitcoin this week. My first series of transactions began well and ended poorly. I had registered with a wallet I did not take the time to research and when I sent all of my purchased BTC there, it was gone forever.

Not one to give up, I tried again tonight, with a better wallet. I bought my coin successfully. I then used that coin to buy something. From round one I learned the basics of reading the transaction id information. Tonight after four confirmations my purchase was supposed to be complete. I was wary of this because the last time it was 6 confirmations and it got to 80 confirmations and one of the clues thst I was scammed was that the BTC I sent was indeed in the wallet I sent it to, but it had not been spent. Now tonight immediately after confirmation number four, it changed from unspent to spent. I don't want to get my hopes up and I already lost money and am afraid to look for the confirmation email I was told I would receive.

This is my transaction id:
1006e8dedba78a750096a2138d87d2076c7258c25ce7efb1ca8322c012f63c23

I sent roughly $92 USD in BTC, for .073.

So what is this wallet that you are talking? I mean at what bitcoin wallet website did you registered so that we will know if that site is a scam or not.

Not one to give up, I tried again tonight, with a better wallet.

And what is this better wallet that you are saying, make those details clearer so that we will not guess mate.

I bought my coin successfully. I then used that coin to buy something. From round one I learned the basics of reading the transaction id information. And also it's going to be better if you will include the bitcoin address that you think you've been scam. Since you said that your purchase something with that coin.

Did you really sent it to the right bitcoin address that shall receive your btc?

If you're managing to send it to these wallets surely you must have it stored somewhere already?  Where's that?  If you keep sending it from Electrum or something to online wallets maybe you're going the wrong way around.

If it doesn't work this time, you should check the transaction ID of the other transaction as well.  If you're sending to the same address both times, you've probably been the victim of a phishing scam, in which case your computer has a virus and when you paste an address it'll be the address of a scammer instead (so it's not going to the wallet at all).

I had registered with a wallet I did not take the time to research and when I sent all of my purchased BTC there, it was gone forever.
Can you specify what happened exactly? Where did you buy BTC? What is the name of this wallet?
It is gone forever because wallet scammed you or you mistakenly used the wrong address?
When you want to pick a good BTC wallet always chose wallet listed here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
For your own safety don't use anything else.
