do you know where you heard this or read it?   I thought it was a couple hundred a day?

It says:

Your account verification request has been received, and will be reviewed within the next 10 business days. Please contact aml@mtgox.com if you have any questions or comments.

They're probably being cautious though, will update how fast it gets reviewed.

Just from people on here and reddit; this was about 2 weeks ago. The rate increased dramatically, which makes sense because on April 4th MtGox stated:

Our support and account verification team went from four people in January 2012 to twenty-two people working every day of the week. We are now hiring even more people to solve this problem by finalizing some deals with external companies.

I have been trying to figure out how to open a corporate account there and no one ever gets back to me.

At position 9100 now, so they've done 1600 at least today.
