The game is like a cross between Agar.io and the board game Risk. It’s a fun, massively multiplayer game where you can use strategy to build up an insect army and gain control of the Hive. A unique aspect of our game is that we offer BTC payouts as a reward for gaining Nectar (the currency of growHive) by consistently growing your Hive over time.

I played for a few minutes.
There are a couple of issues, having to scroll to access the whole interface is not ideal, put the news & hive leaders columns on the right side maybe?
Some lag also seems to be apparent, when I click to add many chips and I run out of them, the animation still appears and then the chips disappear which is confusing, I also end up buying black chips without wanting to.

Other than that it's pretty fun, definitely better than agar.io in my opinion.

I have no idea how to earn points by playing this. Passed one "map", but my score is zero, nectar zero also.

Now I'm on a new map where looks impossible to conquer new spots as the enemies are too strong...

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the feedback! We really want to make this game very user-friendly and fun. To help, I have a quick glossary and some instructions below.  Cheers

1.   To start
It’s easy to start. Simply pick a critter of your choice and a User Name to go by. 

2.   To train
Click on any unoccupied cell in The Nursery.  There, you can learn to attack, place chips on your army to help defend your cell(s) or fill up The Nursery.  This is a place to learn and explore.

3.   To play
When you’re ready to play with other users, simply click on the double arrow at the top of The Nursery.  You will have the option to place your army in any empty cell.  If you notice there are no empty cells in The Sector you are in, click on any Sector you see on the map on the left-hand side.  You will see there are 4 circles below the map – these are different Clusters you can choose from to play, attack, etc.
You may notice below your name that you have a set number of chips. The more you click on empty cells or add chips to the cells you occupy, your chips go down. Wait a couple of seconds and you will see them replenish.

4.   To strategize
Different cells are randomly worth different amounts. The score will be dependent on this. In time, your score will be converted into Nectar. Nectar is everything in this game. The Leaderboard is dependent on how much Nectar everyone has. You can see your status as you play and how you compare to others.
Want to see where the other players were last? Click on their name on the Leaderboard to see. You can click on the link to see which Sector they are in and attack.

5.   Prizes
Prizes are currently sent out on a weekly basis in cryptocurrencies. There are three ways to earn prizes currently. 
1.   Get the highest weekly gain in Nectar. 
2.   Refer a friend with your personal link in your profile. If they get the highest weekly gain in Nectar, you get half of their winnings as well.
3.   Social Media Contests with twitter and facebook – check out our blog for more details on this week’s contest.
To receive your prize, we need two things.  Your email address to confirm your prize and your most current wallet address.  Both can be entered on your profile in the game at any time.

Your score will decrease if others attack and take over your scores. The Top 10 players that have the highest gain in Nectar over the week will with the BTC prizes.  I am also launching weekly Social Media Contests as well where you can win prizes. Click empty cells to conquer it. Next, click on your conquered cell to add more ''power'' to it, next, attack a close cell that belong to an enemy (another insect). Conquer maximum cells as you can to receive more nectar and increase your score.

You use nectar to add those black icons on your cell, it makes your cell stronger and harder to be defeated by an enemy. Move to another maps to continue conquering and rising your insect empire.

The prizes are based on the increase over the week of Nectar. You can spend Nectar at any point by buying black chips (which adds defences to your army) or by buying and designing a new Sector which can be done here http://growhive.io/?d=wuoFnggcT2z62owG&m=100,100 once you have enough Nectar accumulated.

Various cells are worth more than others - this is coded randomly (I don't even know which ones are worth more). The more cells, or territory you have, the merrier.  This will then translate into Nectar over a few seconds.

Any chance you are adding black "chips" to your armies? (They look like black dots) These cost you Nectar to place.
