No it wont. ETC has more potential (5x this year) Why does it? I don't think so. Ethereum classic is nearly dead because it suffered from hard fork. ETH is a lot more popular, its price is 10 times as big as etc's one. I believe ethereum has its great potential and some of it is even actualized. Fore example, ethereum gambling based on smart contracts. Isn't it something really new an altcoin offers here? This is impossible with btc and thus eth has its advantages. However, I think $100 till the end of the year is too much nevertheless.

As of now, who in the world is going to stop the continuous climb in Ethereum price?
For hours, I've been thinking that it's price would calm down now but that's not at all happening.

weird that it isn't the other way around. if i was gonna actually use ethereum i sure as hell would not be using the debased fork. i'd be going classic. can it touch $100? absolutely. i really, really won't understand why.

OK, OP. What backs up your lovely speculation? What do you know of that will move the price that high? I don't think Ethereum will achieve anything that is worth moving the price to $100. Please, enlighten me, if I am in the darkness.

it doesn't have to achieve anything. all it has to do is make enough people believe it might achieve something one day.

This is too late to buy. I would rather wait that the dust settles and the price calms down to buy. It will pump at the end of the year, with the PoS release. This, I am sure. I will buy during now and the end of the year, when the price will be low enought for me.

yeah. the wise investors got in when it was in the cents a couple of years ago, but the real money arrives at the end when all the stupid people pile in with dollar signs in their eyes. there's nowhere near enough upside to interest me in the slightest and a gaping chasm of downside.

Good point, wait for the next big thing to put your money into instead of buying high.

I find I'm agreeing with your posts more and more Euro Central Bank, (even though you claim to be a central bank ) Eth is not a store of value. The DAO disaster shows how flawed Dapps can be, and the resultant hard fork exposes ETH has not being censorship resistant afterall. But masses of people out vote my opinion with their dumb money. Ah well. I won't invest in it because I dont believe in it. I reserve thr right to one day use eth as fuel for some smart contract, but in that case Id go for ETC instead. (It has an immutable blockchain you know )

I think it's inevitable that Eth will goes to 100$ at some point this year. There are too many new ICO's based on Ether contracts, more assets it has more valuable coin it is. Ethereum is rising in 2017 better than all other years. I don't specifically invest Ethereum but I invest heavily to Ether based assets. Whole system is bullish right now. You can make money from everything Ethereum related.

At this point in the crazy alt bull market, nothing whatsoever would surprise me. I do think $100 is a bit too optimistic, though, even if I didn't predict Dash reaching $100. And yet it did.
I'll tell you this, however: I won't be the one buying ETH/ETC/Dash at $100, and I won't even be the one selling at that price, because I own none of those coins. Who buys this stuff at the nosebleed prices, anyway?
