AirAsia Chief executive Tony Fernandes announced through Nikkei Asian, the company's decision to convert the frequent flyer reward program into a cryptocurrency platform, BigCoin, is part of its goal of operating a cashless system and improving the airline's digital services. Customers will be able to use platforms to purchase seats, onboard food, seat upgrades, and other services.
