Hi, I have a question about ventilating or cooling a room with multiple miners. This is a large cellar space with a single window of medium size over which the window from the neighboring flat is located. The window in the basement is up in the middle of one long wall. The window is on the other side at the level of the sidewalk, but it has a grid so there is about 5 cm between the glass and the grid. I may remove this window, but it will then be seen from the outside. On both sides of this wall I plan several miners. The problem is that there are only 1 miner with 3 GPUs (up to 5 GPUs) and even though the window is partially open, there is already a lot of heat. I plan to have 41-65 graphics, depending on the possibilities (new will be with 6 GPUs), the plan is SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 580 OC 8G. I have three options: - air conditioning (expensive acquisition and electricity cool so many graphics (5 or 7 Kwh units)) - place an industrial fan in the window and vacuum warm air out (noise under the neighbor's window, but maybe I just do not have the right idea of the noise) - Place the industrial fan on the floor and blow the warm air towards the window Is there any other solution? Is there a divider as a window-fill, so that half the window blows the cold air in and the other blows the warm air? What solution do you think best? 110 cm = 43.3 in 80 cm = 31.5 in

So do you think, among other things, that it's foolish to use spec frames on a rig, but throw it directly into the wire shelves on a non-conductive mat and just hang up the cards?

Best solution is, find a better room. Can't imagine 60cards in there, even with opened window. You will have lots of troubles.

okay 110 cm = 43 inches 80 cm = 31 inches I think you can use 2 of these https://www.amazon.com/MaxxAir-HVHF-12COMBO-12-Inch-Cylinder/dp/B004GHNKU0/ref=sr_1_7?to direct hot air out on the top ½ of the window see shot below this may be good for 30 cards not 60 a lot depends on outside temps. ie 40c maybe only 20 cards 35 c maybe a few more cards 23 30 c maybe a few more cards 26 25 c maybe a few more cards 29 20 c maybe a few more cards 32 I am guessing as to how many cards you can do having the hot air on the top half of the window should help the cooler air come in of the bottom. there are other factors involved if the room is very tightly sealed you will naturally suck in air from the bottom slot. you should take the temperature of the air coming in the bottom slot and compare it to the temp of the air from the 2 blowers.

I have 3 rigs in there and things are getting pretty hot already. I'm debating just putting 2 big 200mm case fans on there (with the highest airflow I can find) and just push the hot air out OR have one fan blow hot air out with a duct that goes a bit further up and have a second fan blow fresh air in.

You need to provide some airflow for those 41-65 cards , with only one window that is not going to be a easy task Do you have a right amount of electrical power need in that room ? with 65 cards it would be over 10KW , with 240 volts you need at least 50 amp to stay on the safe side , with 120 volt at least 90amp ... " I have three options: - air conditioning (expensive acquisition and electricity cool so many graphics (5 or 7 Kwh units))forget , you need a very high btu cooling power to keep those cards in the right temp range in that closed airspace, AC unit/installation will be very expensive power bill going to be crazy high your ROI will be forever - place an industrial fan in the window and vacuum warm air out (noise under the neighbor's window, but maybe I just do not have the right idea of the noise)you need a air intake also , you can not just suck out the air from that room- Place the industrial fan on the floor and blow the warm air towards the windowthe hot air never going to leave the room if there is no intake air Solution : split that window area ,use one half for intake air , another side for air outlet , use any commercial air mover, with highest possible CFM rating , use 2 of this or something similar : http://refinishingonline.com/store/exhaust-fansmake sure the inlet and outlet in the window is pushing/pulling air to a from a different angle . So the exhausted air not coming back via the intake duct. I am sure you have a door , if you can push the hot air through that door with some fans , and let the window for the intake air fans , with that you can make a good airflow through the room , what is the normal air temp. you have there in this room ?.

I am sure you have a door , if you can push the hot air through that door with some fans , and let the window for the intake air fans , with that you can make a good airflow through the room , what is the normal air temp. you have there in this room ?. I have a plastic door, the material that is used for plastic windows. It is a fact that it could be used at least on a small fan that would suck the air, it is about 1 meter below ground level, there are stairs down. The cellar itself is within 18 degrees, but in summer it can be up to 40 degrees celsius outside.

I'm already dealing with an electrician, I have a drawer for bigger machines with 400 volts, it has 3 phases and it divides me into single phases for multiple drawers. I'll try this, and add another small air-suction fan to the door.

You should use this door , i have a situations look like yours but i have a lot of windows but can't open any of them because there is insects and rats outside , so i used the door and put a wire window on it with two big fans pushing air outside the place , and one big fan to intake through a sheilded window with an air filter for dust...a rule of ventilation is to use a ratio of 1:2 intake outake fans or opposite.don't use the same number of intake and outake fans.....goodluck
