p2pool peers - Litecoin?

I have setup a p2pool server to point my miners at (purely for the geek factor) and whilst it all seems to be working, it's been running for an hour and only has 7 peers outgoing and none incoming.

Should i be seeing more than this? I have forwarded 9338 to the p2pool server but i'm not seeing any attempted connections through the firewall. Is this normal? How can i increase the the peers?

Any thoughts welcome.

I guess patience is the order of the day. Now have a couple of incoming connections too. 

What's the expected number of peers after a few hours of up time?
