I cannot post in Technical Support. ?

My issue is; I cannot get GUIMiner to load anymore. It ran fine for about a week; while traveling I leave it running in the hotel room. One day I shutdown my laptop and upon restart, it will not load, or more specifically, SHOW the program. It shows the icon in the status bar. It shows something similar to the windows "unknown file" icon in the taskbar, but if I float my mouse over it, it shows the preview of GUIMiner program GUI running. I see it says some xx Mhash/s and my fan is running. If I try to "restore" from the statusbar icon it does/shows nothing. Win7 shows it running.

I deleted the files originally downloaded, downloaded again, but it still does not load the program.

Same here. I can't get the bitcoin GUIMiner client to maximize from the taskbar. It starts minimized and I can't make it appear. This is in Windows 7.

Try this:

In the taskbar, left-click once on the folder icon so it gains focus
Now, press "ALT-Space" (you will see a menu appear on the folder)
Press "M" to choose the Move option (your cursor will now turn into four arrow points).
Press any of the cursor keys once (this will move your folder on the screen and it will be captured by the mouse)
Move your mouse about and you will see the folder moving with it
Left-Click to "drop" the folder onto your desktop.

Hope it helps (thanks to pixilated8)

When i used gui it was the damn drivers (13.2-13.3). Used driver sweepand got13.1 (non-beta) and it worked, worth trying.

if non of the above work it might be a bad shut down of the program so go to

C:\Users\Windows 7\AppData\Roaming\poclbm
and delete poclbm.ini

****youll have to retype all your setting in again but it will solve 99.9% of problems with guiminer

Drivers can be an issue.  Ended up moving to the CLI cgminer.exe that the GUI calls anyway, just look at the console tab for the exact syntax and copy that into a .bat file.

Now like the CLI a lot better, more information and more control.

I have a similar issue, none of GPUminers will start on my machine. I have the latest drivers from ati, and SDK.
My computer is a intel i5 cpu, 8GB ram, and HD4870 GPU, running windows 8.

Does anyone have an idea?
