I figured I'd post this here because it is a newbie question.... I have had several people send me BTC, but I just realized that my bitcoin-qt client is not synchronized, and whenever I try to send BTC it says that the amount exceeds my balance... Is there a way to send btc without waiting for my client to synchronize?

one way would be

dump the private key of one of the addresses that is funded
import that private key into a blockchain.info wallet
send coins

Or, you know, you could let your client sync with the block chain and your problem would be alleviated. It would be less difficult (and less of a chance of mucking something up) if you waited; if not, drakahn's suggestion may work.
