Updated Client
There has been a updated client released for Feathercoin. This includes a new checkpoint to protect against 51% attacks and an update is included for IPv6 errors being reported from some users. This update was applied to Bitcoin in 0.7.0 through to 0.8.1. I expect the upcoming version of Litecoin will include this update.

You can download the updated files and source code from the link below.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178286.0

If you have any problems with the update please send me a PM and I will try to help you.

A feature that is seriously lacking in coin wallets, it the ability to do periodic payments, eg. automatically pay rent weekly etc.

I think coin wallets should contain most of the features that an Internet banking application would have for fiat currencies, at the moment they are very basic.

Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure how I forgot to do this!

You could do this using scripts getting the daemon to send payment fired off by a scheduler. Ideally you would want an interface in the client for this though someone could put together an app which would use the daemon to do this task. The problem is if your computer is off or the scheduler/app is not running then no payments would be sent.

I see it as almost a built in calendar/task manager. It will remind you when it is about to go out, send it if it can, and let you know if it missed/just sent payment.

Computer off, heaven forbid, it should be mining FTC 24/7 or more!

If you have opted to have the daemon start on boot, that could be modified to do tasks.

I reckon the difficulty re-targeting needs looking at.
The difficulty overshot, and people have stopped mining FTC to the point where the next re-target is over 10days off, which is really bad for miners, complete disincentive.

I think it should re-target every day to try and maintain 576blocks per day.
