Hi there,

I received 0.005 BTC in mi Xapo account after this transaction.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2238084.0

But i did not know that there are now VERY EXPENSIVE fees for sending money in xapo (last time i use it it was free)

Since i need the 0.005 BTC to pay for a service, i can not pay those fees. Is there any workaround?

Thanks.

No one can help you in this case because if you pay any other Xapo user then he must pay fees for this withdrawal you have to pay fees then you can withdraw your coins they fix this fees some time ago just because of this I also stop to use this service

Your answer is not usefull at all. Someone with a xapo account can help me here if he/she already have balance there and is not planning to withdraw soon.
If you can not help, please, do not say that nobody can.

Take care.

How long have you gone into bitcoin world? Going back in the past Xapo dont charge any fees but they already starting to charge their users with high ridiculous fees as of now as far as i remember its being on several months that is why i do ask you on how long youve gone not to go back in bitcoin. For now you cant do anything about it and that bitcoin balance of yours is nearly just the total of the fee. This is why i dont make use on their service anymore.I would rather choose up electrum since i can able to adjust my desired fees which is less cheaper than on those exchange wallets.

It's possible if you pay someone in fiat through whatever payment service, and have that person then send you the fee amount through Xapo (internal transactions are free), where after that you can purchase whatever service you need. If you think that's doable for you, then look in the currency exchange section to see if someone is able/willing to help you out. If you don't plan to pay for someone to send you coins through Xapo, then you'll be in a very difficult position.

One way would be to transfer the bitcoins off chain to another xapo user that uses xapo a lot, and then get them to transfer the coins on-chain to your address. The guy will probably not do this without a fee however, since he still needs to pay tx fees.

Otherwise, really no workarounds unless you can somehow sell the btc from xapo directly.

Do you need 0.005 BTC exactly to pay for your stuff?

OP need .005 bitcoins exactly just because of this I already post that no one can help you in this case you must have to pay fees because now Xapo is taking fees for deposit and withdrawal both cases most of members already leave this site

LOL. I've stopped using Xapo wallet because of its fee. With others online wallet I just have to pay withdrawal fee but with Xapo I've to pay both deposit and withdrawal fee so when I when I received some small amount about 0.0003 or 0.0001 it's just enough to pay the deposit fee and I didn't receive anything Smiley) Now I'm using coinbase and electrum cause these wallet have very low transaction fee.

I think this solution is kinda too complicated, it's  too much hassle to send ~$20 - I think that simplicity and time is more important than complex workaround.
The sooner Op will realize that sending Bitcoin is not free the better, this is the price we must pay for having a decentralized network.
Miners are not a charity they won't process our transactions for free, Xapo with its 'promotional' free BTW transaction just spoiled many new users.

I was out of date for one year or so, i did not have idea about xapo fees (i will not use it again for sure)
Sadly i use it as a fast way to receive the coins, i have my own QT at home.

No one is using xapo?

In most cases only faucet farmers and other dust chasers are making use of the Xapo wallet service, so no real luck for you here. If you're looking for a solid and light mobile wallet client, then download the Mycelium app.

Great thing is that you at all times are the owner of your private keys, plus the fact that you can select your own (lower) fee, instead of being forced to pay the fixed fee of wherever online wallet service ~ only benefits here.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

There is no way to avoid paying the transaction fees since you are using Xapo wallet, and it is also not possible to set a customize low miner transaction fees on Xapo, I stopped using their wallet too because of the high ridiculous fees for every transaction charged by them.

Yeah, mostly users left Xapo after they introduced these ridiculous fees. They even don't allow to receive small amounts of btc. Previously Xapo was great wallet for sending/receiving small amounts of btc, but now they probably the worst online wallet.
OP, sorry, but there are no workaround to avoid these fees.

Maybe there could be another way like on coinbase. I closed my account, had still a very small amount of BTC on it. They sent me this amount without fee. Maybe Xapo makes that also.

There's no other way to get those 0.005 BTC on your xapo account. Just why many forgotten that web wallet because of their cannot be adjusted fee and they are still charging each transactions with high fee. What you have to do now is just transfer it somewhere and just take the fee or you will add another amount so that you can use that fee otherwise. That's why I have left that web wallet because it's not worthy of it's fee.

Before honestly you are just paying a small fee and i think they are free to send bitcoin before but after the price of bitcoin was burst increase this year xapo was asking for the fee and high fee.. There is shady behind because you can not withdraw all of your remaining balance there. base on what i experience when transferring my bitcoin to another wallet..
Now i use a wallet which is i have control about the  wallet and can backup private keys that i can recover in other wallet and i can pay manually for fee.. .  the only thing that i know you can get your 0.005 if you are using their debit card.

You mean you send to XAPO account and you want others to send from other wallets right?

But they also still need to pay the transaction fee right?

I got an account and I have more funds in that wallet.
