I have come across a few empty physical bitcoins and would like to reload them.  How would I go about this?
Thanks

Reloading is a simple process, you just send the bitcoins to their public address. You would be compromising security as private keys could be known by previous owner so they would be able to spend them.

I always set up all my opened coins to sweep anything that gets sent to them off to one of my safe addresses.

Please load up some of my opened coins for me Smiley

If the coin was "opened" / "spent" when you got it then do not reload it.  I could be set up to sweep.

If you personally opened and transferred the BTC off the coin and you just want to mess around with it and put some BTC on it and then take it off again go for it.  I did that just for the heck of it once.

Here is one of my very early coins that I so very very stupidly destroyed.  Early coins like this one have been sold for over $2K on Ebay!  Who knew they would become so valuable when they first came out?

Public key on the sticker:  114cSY2W

Go to here:  http://blockchain.info

Type the short public address into the little search box on the page and wala!  The entire address:

https://blockchain.info/address/114cSY2WfLFcX32MiW7XWvrXxdoGiJxzCX

Notice this was a 1 BTC coin.  I added 9 more BTC to it then took all 10 off it after I opened it up and imported the private key.

To add more BTC to this coin (please do!) just send any amount to 114cSY2WfLFcX32MiW7XWvrXxdoGiJxzCX
