Got an email from Yobit that they are adding Segwit2x fork future coins

I have no idea how this Segwit2x will work if there isnt enough hashpower to find a single block

I thought Segwit2X was canceled.  Is Setwit2X still going to happen?  I see the futures still being priced at coinmarketcap.com, though.

I've no idea about what already did by yobit in this time, yobit already issued the 2x IOU coin. which means it's not a real coin. as you can see about the fact the segwit 2x already canceled by the bitcoin community. There will be no segwit 2x in the future, Yobit try to grab the more money from there. That's so shady.

I've no idea about what already did by yobit in this time, yobit already issued the 2x IOU coin. which means it's not a real coin. as you can see about the fact the segwit 2x already canceled by the bitcoin community. There will be no segwit 2x in the future, Yobit try to grab the more money from there. That's so shady.

this is done because of bitfinex only. they have been adding these new "future" markets and it seems like they get a lot of attention from the traders and the volume is decent enough that makes any exchange think about adding those.
if you take a look at bitfinex, they have many markets like this. they even have a bitcoin unlimited market which is the most fucked up thing in my opinion!

i wouldn't call this particularly shady. it is a "money grab" opportunity for the exchanges. and since Yobit is shady in pumping coins with fake orders they make a lot more money in addition to the real trading fees.

Did you get the mail now or sometime in the past? Because if Segwit2x doesn't occur, then the value of the coins should go to zero. There were people who were speculating using futures before the announcement that Segwit2x was called off.

What happened to yobit? When the whole issue is announced cancel segwit2x. And yobit can not create segwit2x.

In jotbit people are completely without shame and conscience. Did they not hear about karma? How can you deceive people like that? For half a year they are a dead chain ESP trades thousands of deceived people and they do not care. Here on such exchanges the SEC is necessary.

this was really unfair. i received the Email yesterday and saw it today (thanks to this topic) and i've made some deposits but i was already too late. they should have done it like bitcoin gold distribution with at least a couple of days time for us to find out about it and make our deposits.

i missed out on 1 B2X = 0.2 BTC price and now it is 0.03 and falling

Key word is "FUTURES".

It is prospecting, you buy it now HOPING you get it cheaper than when it actually become real.  There is no guarantee Segwit2x will happen and still, people are willing to invest.

LOL. They are complete optimists.

I don't think we will see another dead chain. Just Yobit have the habit to credit forks in advance. If I recall it correctly they did the same with BCH or BTG.

They create coins only tradeable on their platform and there is no real coins and wallets... Another way to scam people. It is not for Segwit2X, it is YoB2X...
