bitcoin and altcoins are incompatible. You cannot sync an altcoin with bitcoin and vice versa unless the altcoin specifically implements some functionality in order to do so.

you downloaded BITICOIN, not bitcoin, check again what you are downloading, they are different coin, bitcoin is the first legit one, the one you have is an altcoin, which si 100% dead because i never heard of that thing, prolly a clone of bitoin with sha256 algo but i'm not 100% sure
