Since when has this been a thing?

Is this some kind of "high-rank member" only feature or is it available for all members?

And it does actually work, just like using the Signature Adblock script (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1003570)

I think this feature is available for all members. High ranked accounts can hide forum ads as well.
If this option is turned on by default, I think signature campaigns will die a slow death.  Smiley

This has been a thing even before you registered on this forum Cheesy

You signed up in late 2014 and here is a post in 2013 where someone says how to use it Cheesy

If it annoys you, just install ad-block and make a rule for the signatures to block them. Since only a couple of people do it at the moment and they do it with very distinctive colours and codes this should be easy.

No need for that.
Profile -> Look and Layout Preferences -> Don't show users' signatures.
