Check actual fee size electrum wallet

I see the bar thingy, but I would prefer to type in a number (.0004) instead. At least check the amount of BTC going to fees. How can I do this? I downloaded Electrum yesterday so latest version I think.

from the top Menu choose
Tools > preferences

and then in that prefernce window that opens, go to the "Fees" tab and select the CheckBox saying "Edit Fees Manually".

then a TextBox will appear in the main window on the right side of that "Fee Slider" which you can type in amount of fee you want.
you should also always try to click "Preview" before sending to double check everything.

Goto: Tools -> Preferences -> Fees


Tick "Dynamic Fees" and also "Edit fees manually"... and I'd recommend setting the "Replace-By-Fee" option to "Always":


When you go to send a transaction, it should enable you to use the slider, but also see the "absolute" fee:


For the record, I highly recommend you don't just type a number in unless you are sure you have calculated it correctly. Otherwise you are likely to end up setting a fee that is too low and your transaction will get stuck.
