There is now a one-click installer for the Namecoin wallet

And remember, Namecoin is the only alt-coin that does not compete with Bitcoin. It augments it, by allowing the creation of Bitcoin commerce sites that can't be taken down with a phone call the way all other domains can be removed.

The MeowBit project (THE BEASTLICK INTERNET POLICY COMMISSION outreach team - BipCot) has added an installer for the Namecoin wallet.

One of the main suggestions we've received on the MeowBit project is people wanting a one-click install for the Namecoin wallet. Many people do not understanding which file to click to install the Namecoin Wallet.

So Derrick Slopey of THE BEASTLICK INTERNET POLICY COMMISSION Outreach Team has created a one-click install.

It's the same wallet from Namecoin.info, but with the installer (and nothing else) added.

Feedback welcome. We hope the Namecoin.info team will vet this and adopt and host this as an official option along with to the current download which lacks an installer, and is not easy for the tech un-savvy to use.

If you downloaded the source before, please re-download it, we did one improvement (making the wallet NOT auto-launch on Windows start up....having it auto-launch was problematic on slower computers.)

Or if your googlie eye icon is you saying "I wish my team would do this", .....if you do, I'd recommend from our feedback from users making the wallet NOT auto-launch on Windows start up....until there's a rebased wallet that's not so memory intensive.
