Check out the number of Casascius coins on eBay. I was surprised at the number. Also, I would think they'd be selling for more (considering I sold a blank 5 BTC coin for $121
. Some of the asking prices I have to laugh at, too. 10,000 for a 10 BTC coin. I wonder too about the safety of sending them. Yes, there is a physical aspect involved (making it safer). But couldn't a customer say they received the coin and there was no hologram on it? I think it'd be pretty important for the seller to establish that while the item is in-transit (as confirmed by tracking), it has its bitcoin value (confirmed via FirstBits on blockchain). Although, I suppose you could take the holo off and redeem it after the package arrives. Something about Bitcoins and eBay/PayPal...I don't think a relationship was ever meant to be.
