I installed bts on my computer when it was at the 0.9.3c version. I see in the news section of this site that we are using 0.14.1 now? Do I have that right? Also, I can't remember my password to my wallet. I do have the words that I wrote down when I upgraded to BTS 2.0. Can I reuse those words? Also I read somewhere on this site that if I still have the .bin or .dat file I can still recover my wallet? I appreciate the help with this. ^_^

The dat file can be used to recover the coins, if you have the password. If you remember something very close to what the password is, then it may be possible to brute-force it, but it's typically not possible without some good hints.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with BTS 2.0 (BTS = bitshares to the best of my knowledge). However, those words will probably come in handy; reinstall that software and pick its restore option if it has one, then provide those twelve words to it. Don't post them publicly or send them to anyone else; they provide access to your coins.

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.
