Bitcoin future market might fuel few pumps and dumps but overall market trend might remain bullish even after listing of bitcoin future.

Bitcoin future will not put any new money in the market directly so it might not make bitcoin price stable, I am expecting greater volatility than stability on bitcoin's price.

Nobody is trading actual bitcoin on these markets, im not worried. CBoe was irrelevant, in fact it created a pump. Of course CME are the big boys, but so what, they could fuck themselves up real bad if they short it and some billonaire decides to buy a bunch of bitcoin destroying their short contracts and causing a total disaster. Seriously I don't think these future markets matter that much if at all. Who is going to be stupid enough to short bitcoin anyway. And if you short, you better don't aim too low.

This effect is not immediate, but is a process. Volatility we have right now is because of planed futures. Without futures BTC would be was under $3000 right now.  Futures should bring more money in Bitcoin so price should keep growing, till some point when price will crash and find some price to stay at. After that we will not see +10% daily growths anymore.   

When all this will happen. Who knows. can take a year or even more.   But is normal that this volatility and growth will stop at some point.

The bitcoin futures contract means you are predicting the future of the bitcoin price. But i think that will be higher than the bitcoin price itself. it just gives the more volatility to the market. Remember bitcoin it is not controlled by any party. It won't become stable in the coming months as the futures contract already fully operated.

The futures market of CME and the bitcoin market are separate entities thus neither both of them actually affects anything between them. I'm worried that these futures platform will be a stage for shitness and traders that would take advantage of unknowing people and lure them into thinking that it's the same thing, ending up these newbies losing money in the process. Volatility of bitcoin will never be affected upon the opening of the said futures since again, it's not directly bitcoin that they're trading in there. We don't know anything yet, and maybe we'll see it in ~2 days time.

It certainly good reduce volatility and I think bitcoin will become less volatile even without futures, simply because of how much it is growing and that will bring stability. I like the volatility but would be happy for bitcoin to be stable and alts to have the volatility.

The only "issue" that i am seeing with bitcoin at the moment is that it can not stop going up, i dont know why the hell is it happening.

And a lot of people were saying that the futures were going to be crashing the price down to $7000 or less, they all were so stupid.

But i am right, everyday it is going up, today it has touched a new all time high; $19,1k

That is amazing, how high will it go before the end of this year?

For people and businesses owner not to undermine the value of bitcoin it most be stable and this unnecessary volatility does not help the growth and development of bitcoin! Bitcoin has to be seen as money and this volatility undermine it as so and most of us here now see bitcoin as assets like stocks, commodities and securities.

We like volatility because that is the main reason of why we are making so much profit on the markets.

Without volatility, there would not be any newbie's traders on the market.

Nowadays you can see a lot of grandmothers and teenagers of less than 14 years old trading with bitcoin. It is insane, but they are doing it because it is very profitable and even someone who does not know anything about forex can do it in just a few minutes and make $20 in those times.

And no one is trading on futures too.
