Hey!

I'd like to ask you guys an advice on what altcoin to mine with my HW
I've got an i5-7600 and a Palit Jetstream GTX680.

I've only traded bitcoins and eth until now, so i'm quite new to mining, it's still profitable with the right altcoin?

that gpu is quite old, you should change with new one and then you can mine something worth it, with that gpu is a waste of time too inefficient and low hashrate, what about buying a 1060 or rx 570? both ar enot that expensive and have good return, i suggest to mine ETH with amd and ZCASH with nvidia

You could mine a little bit with your CPU, but your GPU is probably not worth it (too much power for the hashrate). You could download NiceHash and run the benchmarks to see what kind of hashrate you get on different algorithms and then check profitability calculators to see if it's worth it.

I plan to do it in the future, but I've renewed every other component of my pc recently so spending more money on it is a no-go. Especially with a newborn in family. Smiley
Thanks for your advice I'll try with zcash just for fun, and if the profitability will be too low, I'll give up.
