nice report from few months ago.

I suppose now the numbers are even higher.

source: https://www.jbs.cam.ac.uk/fileadmin/user_upload/research/centres/alternative-finance/downloads/2017-global-cryptocurrency-benchmarking-study.pdf

I saw this on this post:

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@alttrader/must-read-report-cryptocurrency-statistics-2-9-million-people-use-crypto

summary:

•The current number of unique active users of crypocurrency wallets is estimated to be between 2.9 million and 5.8 million.
•The lines between the different cryptocurrency industry sectors are increasingly blurred: 31% of cryptocurrency companies surveyed are operating across two cryptocurrency industry sectors or more, giving rise to an increasing number of universal cryptocurrency companies.
•At least 1,876 people are working full-time in the cryptocurrency industry, and the actual total figure is likely well above two thousand when large mining organisations and other organizations that did not provide headcount figures are added.
•Average security headcount and costs for payment companies and exchanges as a percentage of total headcount/operating expenses are similar, but significantly higher for wallets.

Work?

That is a stretch..  Roll Eyes

I've been talking to the guys making the coins for years arguing about this all along.
A guy named wolf for example on irc countless times who admitted to being a paid gun..
Like the hype dev or others..
And they say they need to be paid.
And then I say ya but doing what?
Their reply is simple.. What ever is paying.

The reality is 99% of so called dev's do fuck all of any use.

One mass old school cloner behind many coins summed it up well in his devtome coin cloning guide.
He said he does it for fun & profit. (SHAKEZULU)

This is no "industry" investards and you are not going to get away with acting like this is legit.

Take exchanges for example..
They shouldn't even exist.
They are a centralized business's exploiting crypto.
They are got compliant and they need to die asap.

Take Coinmarketcap.
It was me who got that scammy cunt gliss to put in asterisks..
And it was me who wondered why MLM scams like LEO COIN were listed..
And why Ethereum has no asterisk.. When it should.  Roll Eyes

And how they run ad's for pointless scammy profiteer garbage.
Like Cointelegraph or Coindesk.. Or this forum.
Which is also government compliant and been hacked numerous times exposing user data.

Sorry dumb fucks but no one is employed in crypto.
And I know this because no investor ever got a transparency report as to what the investment money was spent on.. Like Ripple or Maidsafe.

Need me to go on?

Your little shitcoin charade is exactly that..
A scammy pointless facade... fer teh ROI's Roll Eyes

PS:
You know Coinbase?
Ya the one that wouldn't add Litecoin but added the premined ICO SCAM ETH.
The one that helped Bigvern from Cryptsy dump stolen funds..
The one that got Artem from KickassTorrents arrested.
Ya them..
Well, you better hope they win that case vs the IRS
..or many of you are going to be in a lot of trouble  Cheesy

Nice read, thank you for sharing.

It is great that the cryptousers are increasing, hope to see more people adopting cryptocurrencies.
