Is it legal to exchange Pokerstars $ winnings for bitcoins?

For example lets say I win a tournament for 10,000$ and decide not to withdraw the winnings to my bank, is it legal to exchange and transfer my poker winnings to someone for bitcoins?

Could I get in trouble from Pokerstars or is it completely legal?

There is nothing legal or illegal while exchanging your winnings into bitcoin or into fiat. Just go through the terms and conditions mentioned with the pokerstar if there is no complications just withdraw in terms of bitcoin to the address where you need it to be saved. Certain sites have limitations in withdrawal which is one that need to be concerned.

I think it is way better for you to read their terms an conditions, but I remember seeing in the forum people selling poker stars for bitcoin maybe you can find one of those threads to the op and send them PM.

Use escrow and you will be happy with ur newly gained bitcoins Smiley, i would wait with this exchange to bitcoin rate get lower.

Exchanging currencies is always legal. Problem is coming when you want to change winnings or other currency to your private bank account. Not all banks like when you trade cryptocurrencies.

As you deposited fiat to PS, you must withdraw winning back to the same mean of the deposit.
Thus, you can do anything you want with it.
GL with shipping a MTT (10k is fairly huge by the way).

I think also Pokerstars has no problem with changing. Thy set a transfer limit so you are not able to change too much they could get problems with the law.
