CPU mining with AMD ryzen threadripper 1950X

Hello All

After building some GPU rigs quite successfully (even if some GPU disappear sometimes on reboot), I would optimize CPU mining.

I have some issues with my 1950X.

The best cryptonight hashrate is obtained with minergate. It is the proof that I can optimize something.

Even with cpu-miner or xmp-stak (which are very efficient with i7 and ryzen 1700), I cannot get better hashrate with X threads than with only one.

Do you have some advice for me ?

Have you tried to mine AEON with xmrig?  Make sure you enable huge pages.

On my 1700x it uses 8 cores, AEON speed is about 1900Mh/s.

I'm curious about your speed.

I tried aeon too, but not with xmrig

With my 1700X and 1300X hashrates are good (about 200MH/s per core)

But with 1950X, I get only about 100MH/s on first core.
If I activate 2 cores, I get 50+50 and so on, with only 100MH/s on total !

Config are not optimized for starting. I use only the proposal of xmr-stak for example...

Check that not something else is using your CPU (maybe minergate is running also). You have installed memory modules on all memory channels? I beleive 1950X is 4 channel memory so you need 4 modules at least to get maximum speed.

XMRIG is good for the 1950X
I don't like the windows alert, but crypto software are often signalized as viruses

I get between 2800 and 3800 H/s on AEON algo. It depends on what other GPU softwares running and their cpu power needs

Cpu-affinity is very important. I created a little javascript tool to manage it :

I will try during few next days XMR mining with this software (even if I don't like this money because of transaction fees too high).

I'm mining ETN with my 1950x @ 3.9 GHz and with Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v3.9 I'm getting around 1000 h/s. I can't find if that's ok, but I was reading that some people on Monero were getting around 1200-1500 h/s. So I was wondering if my h/s is ok or I need to change something? I would like to try xmr-stak but I don't know how to set it up...
