Hey last noob question for now:

I see on a lot of the exchanges it warns not to transfer directly from mining pool to an exchange or from an exchange to another exchange. Just wondering why that is? Before I noticed the warning, I had been successfully mining FTC and having the pool deposit directly into btc-e with no issues... I also transferred some BTC directly from btc-e to bter with no issues. So why the warning?

Note: Since seeing the warning I've started using wallets as intermediaries,... would just be a lot simpler if the exchanges could double as wallets.

most of the time the biggest problem is that you cannot withdraw from those exchanges... back to your mining pool...

your mining pool doesn't give you your own address... a wallet does
