I have been testing out a very basic (read:noob) automated strategy on
1broker.com which, in all its simplicity, will calculate the 12 period EMA and the 20 period SMA on the 1 hour chart (mostly traded Forex, decent results on OILWTI too) and then place a short/long with a very tight trailing stop loss set depending on EMA/SMA crossover.. Trades lasts usually for 3-30 minutes and 6/10 hits a stop loss below entry. Sometimes i get a nice ride though.
This is far from a perfect strategy, and I got no clue how to handle leverage yet so it is just fixed for all trades the bot makes.
So, I am very interested in hearing about other peoples short-term trading strategies, or if you just have any suggestions/critics on my strategy, feel free to chime in !
