ASUS B250 MINING EXPERT - AUXPWR_A1/A2/A3 question?

In the setup manual for "ASUS B250 MINING EXPERT" motherboard, the very first step is to power up all three (AUXPWR_A1/A2/A3 must be plugged in the same power supply plugged in the 24-pin EATXPWR_A connector)
 and yet the only miners I have seen up and running 19 cards do not have any power plugged into the AUXPWR_A1/A2/A3 connectors, is this because if you are using powered risers there would be a voltage conflict? or that with powered risers the motherboard simply does not need the PCIe slots to be powered directly on board? I am confused and would really like an explanation of this,

why is powering these connectors listed as the first step by Asus, but not used by actual operating miners?

Problably because they think it's just for PCI-E auxillary power, which on other motherboards like the ASRock H81 and H110, isn't required unless you are not using powered risers. The Asus B250 has 24-pins for up to three PSU's directly on the board though, so it's a good idea to plug the connecors in so that the PSU's share a common ground together.

I'm on like two months now with none of the aux molex connectors or the 2nd or 3rd mobo things plugged in.

The Molex connectors on the motherboard ARE for additional power to the PCI-E slots - which is a waste on that motherboard as it IS going to be used with powered risers in virtually ALL cases.

 You also don't HAVE to use the 2'nd and 3'd power supply slots if you don't need that many PS (I only run 2 for now due to infrastructure current limitations).
